Wib and Suzie (Father and Daughter) started Lickrun Berry Patch in 1998. We have 3/4 of an acre which consists of 14 rows 125 feet long. Originally we had 9 rows or thornless berries and 5 rows of thorns.

After 2 years we decided the thorn berries had to go. People didn't like picking them and we didn't like to maintain them.

Then 3 years ago we put in the new Triple Crown which have been quite popular but the season is short.

The canes are pruned at least 3 times a year, with 2 old canes being removed as soon as the picking season is over. We spray the berries for disease and to rid the Japaneese beatles. We keep the grass mowed weekly and the plants are irrigated as needed.
